How to level a washing machine
A well-organized dining room is the duty of every homeowner. Every appliance must be placed and installed correctly in order to function more efficiently. Leveling the washing machine is a guarantee for its trouble-free operation. Whether it will be too noisy depends on its correct placement.
A vibrating washing machine can be unpleasant not only for you. It can negatively affect the internal parts of the washing machine itself. Over time, the mechanisms begin to break down. The inconvenience of a noisy appliance can also cause dissatisfaction on the part of your neighbors.
All this requires greater attention when installing the washing machine for the first time. For this purpose, a level can be used when placing it. Each machine is equipped with feet that can be adjusted. If your washing machine has started to make too much noise, then measures need to be taken.
Place the level on top of the machine and see if there are any deviations from the readings. You will then need to unscrew or tighten the feet. Every machine has two of these at the bottom front and two at the back. There are also many washing machines that are equipped with self-leveling feet. Unscrew or tighten them if necessary.
Check the rear feet. After leveling the washing machine on one side, tilt it forward. The rear feet should lift off the floor a few centimetres. When you put the appliance back in place, they should adjust automatically. Keep in mind that most residential floors are not perfectly level, no matter how well laid they are.
Leveling any washing machine does not take much time. It can be done even by a person who has no technical knowledge. Proper placement of the appliance will save you a lot of nerves. A noisy and vibrating machine is a prerequisite for future damage.
