When does an LE error appear on an LG washing machine?

Washing machines are equipped with electronics and innovative sensors, the task of which is to monitor the proper operation of individual elements. When a malfunction occurs, a corresponding error code appears, indicating a problem with the functioning of the machine or damage to an important part of it. This also applies to LG washing machines. In newer models, the LE code appears on the display. But what does this error mean and can it be fixed?
The LE code appears for various reasons. To be sure what the problem is, you should perform regular maintenance on your washing machine. Only in this way will you be able to immediately assess when its operation is of sufficient quality and notice the first signs of an emerging problem with some of its functions or main parts.
Regardless of whether the washing machine is under warranty or not, the best option for its maintenance is to use the services of the same home appliance service. There you will always find assistance and valuable advice on the use of your machine.
Most causes of the LE error require removing the washing machine cover. The top of the machine is removed to access the main parts of the machine for maintenance.

Here are the main reasons for the code LE:

Engine overload

Open circuit

Hall sensor failure – The most common problem for this error

A problem with the electric motor of the washing machine also leads to the appearance of the error. It is recommended to measure the resistance of the sensor with a multimeter. Only it can guarantee the quality and reliability of the diagnostics performed.
The LE code also appears for a much more prosaic reason. When loading laundry, the door is not closed properly, which leads to an unpleasant error. The sensor responsible for locking the washing machine signals the system that the machine is not in optimal condition. The device refuses to work and an LE error automatically appears. It can be said that this is the most harmless reason for the code on the display.
To clear the error, you need to open the washing machine door again and close it tightly. You can also unplug the appliance if you suspect a fault in the control system. After 10-15 minutes, turn the washing machine back on to see if the code appears.
But in case the LE error is displayed again, the problem lies in one of the main elements of the machine. To remove them, the motor must be removed, which in this case is DIRECT DRIVE, and next to the motor socket there is a sensor that is on a clip, there is a small board in it that the resistances are rattling. On this occasion, the board does not take into account the correct rotation of the motor. The picture is shown below.
A motor problem is the next likely cause of the LE error. The most unpleasant of these is an overload of the washing machine motor. With such a problem, the motor sensor does not function properly. It is mounted on the motor, which is of the Direct Drive type. The sensor has a circuit board that breaks, which leads to uneven operation of the motor. The motor does not operate at the correct frequency, and this also leads to the appearance of the LE error.
All reasons for poor performance of LG washing machines and the display of an unpleasant fault code are remediable, as long as you maintain your machine frequently, trusting only proven home appliance repair shops.
