Tips on how to clean household appliances

Good and regular maintenance of household appliances not only ensures their better and longer-lasting functioning, but also helps us achieve better hygiene of kitchen utensils, without which we cannot do our daily household chores. If cleanliness at home is essential for you, preventive maintenance of the oven, washing machine or refrigerator should become a permanent part of the home routine.
To keep your household appliances in optimal condition, you need to perform preventive maintenance at least once a week. This fully applies to the refrigerator. You can regularly wipe its exterior with a cloth. And for the interior of the refrigerator, you can also use apple cider vinegar.

Perform appliance maintenance at least once a week

Use products intended for this purpose only.

Check filters for blockages and dirt deposits

Some users add a tablespoon of baking soda to warm water and use the mixture and a cloth to clean the compartments and shelves of the appliance. Defrost the freezer compartment at least once to remove any food residue and to ventilate it well. You can clean the compartment with a cloth and a suitable detergent.
Oven maintenance is also key to kitchen hygiene. After all, you use the appliance to prepare food for your family, and keeping your oven clean also ensures its safety. The oven can be easily cleaned by placing a pot of water inside. Wait for the liquid to evaporate.
This will make preventive maintenance quite easy, without the need to use expensive tools or detergents. For ovens with pyrolysis, this is not even necessary. There are a number of models on the market with this function, which helps to achieve better oven preventive maintenance. Pyrolysis is a unique and innovative technology for self-cleaning the oven.
This process removes grease and food residue left on the walls of the appliance without using detergents and in the absence of oxygen. However, when using pyrolysis, a burnt smell will come out of the oven. That is why most manufacturers of ovens with this function also offer high-temperature-resistant, non-replaceable filters.
The electric hob is also one of the most frequently used appliances in the kitchen. For this reason, it is a good idea to clean it after every cooking session. Use a detergent and a special spatula to remove any carbon deposits and grease stains from its surface.
Cleaning modern washing machines is quite easy and convenient. Most modern models have special programs with which you can carry out preventive maintenance of the appliance. You just need to start the washing machine in operating mode with a temperature of 60 degrees. Leave the program on for an hour and a half. This will clean the inside of the drum, while also achieving good disinfection of the appliance.
The dryer needs to be maintained regularly because its filters often become clogged with lint. Cleaning the individual parts of the appliance will certainly extend its life and ensure its trouble-free operation for a long period of time.
Hood maintenance is essential, especially if you live in larger apartment buildings. Do not postpone regular maintenance of the appliance, which provides you with a cleaner and more comfortable environment in the kitchen. To perform quality hood maintenance, you need to carefully inspect the hood for the presence of greasy deposits on the body. You can use a degreaser, after disconnecting the appliance from the power supply. Apply the product carefully, but try to keep it away from the motor and control panel.
