Spare parts for Washing Machines

I can't remove the filter on my washing machine.

The drain pump filter is an essential part of your washing machine. Its primary function is to filter the water that drains from the drum and trap tissues and socks. However, over time, coins, small items of clothing, and other objects can become trapped in the filter. As a result, it may not drain properly or become clogged.
The filter is located on the bottom right side of front-loading washing machines. On top-loading machines, it is located around the drum or under the rotating metal cylinder for the laundry. But almost all modern washing machines have a filter located on the bottom right side of the front casing. In most newer versions of top-loading washing machines, it is self-cleaning.
The filters, located on the lower right side of the washing machine, are closed with a small cap. If you decide to clean it, which is desirable to do more often, unplug the appliance. Under no circumstances should you try to open the filter when the washing machine is running.

To clean the filter, follow these steps:
1: Open the cover located at the bottom of the appliance.
2: Place a suitable container under the pump to collect the collected water.
3: Then unscrew the small filter cap. Turn the cap 180 degrees, anti-clockwise. Use a tool (e.g. pliers) to loosen it. Do not press too hard to avoid breaking the filter. Let the water drain into the container provided. Then turn the filter back over and empty its contents.
If you can't remove it, it's probably clogged with small clothes or objects. The inability to open and clean the pump is a problem that requires you to call an appliance repair shop.

When the filter is clogged, the best solution is to tilt the machine on its back. Then remove the screws connected to the pump, holding it to the body of the unit. The clips that hold the filter must also be removed.
Once it is free from the pump it will be much easier to see if it is clogged. Coins and small objects often get stuck in it, preventing it from opening. After removing the pump there should be no problem opening the small cap. In the chute located on the side, you can see if a small object has fallen in.
When the remnants of clothes or coins left in the filter are removed, it is a good idea to check the condition of the pump. A tool is used to assess whether it rotates freely. If there are no problems with its functioning, the next step is to inspect the hose connected to the pump. Quite often, small objects remain in it.
