Gas stove does not ignite

If you have a gas stove, then you certainly know how convenient it can be. These appliances offer several irreplaceable advantages. Among them are: ready to use immediately, emitting instant heat; saving costs in the long run.
And of course, the ability to continue cooking even when the power goes out. But unlike regular stoves, with gas stoves you have to light the burner to cook your meals. Sometimes it happens that a gas appliance does not ignite, no matter how much you turn the flame knob.
Fortunately, you can usually fix the problem yourself. The most common reason why your stove won't light and how to fix it could be a blockage with food debris.
Whether it's a build-up of grease or food crumbs, it's blocking the gas flow to the igniter. This can be easily fixed. Remove the appliance grate that covers the burner.
Remove the cap, then clean the area around it with a damp cloth. Soak the appliance's grille in vinegar or warm water, using a brush to remove any residue.

Finally, clean any remaining crumbs from the burner holes with a simple toothpick. Reinstall the burner, lid, and grate and try lighting the burner again. If this does not work, there may be a fault in the gas supply to the appliance or a larger problem.
For this purpose, you need to consult a professional. A possible cause of problems with the ignition of the stove is looseness in the cables. This happens when cleaning the appliance or even during installation.
If the wires connecting the igniter to the control module do not make a solid connection, you will not get the spark needed to properly ignite the burner. To fix the problem, it is necessary to disconnect the stove from the power supply.

Remove the burner grate and cap. Then carefully inspect the cables for looseness or disconnection. When you have replaced or tightened any damaged components, reinstall the burner grate and cap.
Try lighting the appliance to see if the problem is fixed. However, the reason the hob is not working properly could be a faulty igniter. If you have removed the debris from the burner base and tightened any loose connections, this is the problem that is preventing the appliance from igniting the gas.
A quick way to tell if the igniter needs to be replaced is to turn off the lights in the room and turn the control knob to the ignition position. If the igniter emits a yellow or orange spark instead of a bright bluish-white, you probably need to replace it.

To do this, turn off the gas and power to the stove, remove the burner cap using a screwdriver or hex driver to disconnect the base. Also, disconnect the wires coming from the igniter.
Typically, igniters use a quick-release system, so you won't need to cut or splice wires. Use the model number of your stove to determine which replacement igniter you need to purchase.
Install the new burner and replace the base, cap, and grate. Restore the gas supply and power to the stove, then test its operation. If none of these fixes work, you may need to replace the igniter switch or ignition control module.

It is also possible that the nozzles are not the right size, as they have different characteristics. In extreme cases, contact a professional for a more in-depth diagnosis. Reasons why the gas hob does not ignite:

Clogging with food debris

Damaged burner

Different sized nozzles
